MILWAUKEE - Sophomore wing Jayden Hardy from Nicolet contributed a season-high 27 points with five baskets from 3-point range, six rebounds, four assists, three blocked shots and a steal but it wasn't enough as the UWM-Waukesha men's basketball team lost to Milwaukee Area Technical College 116-79 in a nonconference game at Alverno College on Monday night.

It was the second nonconference road loss of the early season for UWM-Waukesha, which dropped to 3-2 overall.

The Cougars were outscored 65-42 in what proved to be a decisive first half.

Sophomore post player Kurt Meyle from St. John's Northwestern Military Academy followed with 12 points for UWM-Waukesha, which converted 12 3-pointers and 9 of 15 free throws.

Freshman guard Dion Morbley from Milwaukee Vincent had seven points with freshman guards Jalen Black from Dominican and Jake Antczak from Mukwonago each adding six points for the Cougars, who committed an uncharacteristic 34 turnovers.
